Most Promising New Business Award Winner 2012
Outbox4 is celebrating after winning the Most Promising New Business Award at the Ayrshire Business Awards last night, at the annual awards gala dinner.
Shortlisted in one of the toughest the new business categories going into the evening, we were delighted to receive the reward for Most Promising New Business.
Ayrshire businessman Gordon Cowan, owner of Outbox4 was on business in Barcelona at the time but said on hearing of the award; “I am absolutely delighted for Kelly Munro and the tight knit team at Outbox4. It is an affirmation of Outbox4’s vision for the future and is real reward for how hard the Outbox4 team work for their clients to ensure the world knows who they are online. Kelly, Joanna, Lyianne and Gordon Brown have worked tirelessly this year on their strategy to continually improve their service to customers and take a stand for businesses who are finding trading condition tough. We have achieved this award through a relentless commitment to be cutting edge on behalf of our customers, ensuring that we get their message out to the marketplace in a cost effective and impactful way. I have been delighted with the response of the management team to my own demanding expectations in a market where you have to deliver profit to reinvest in business. We have invested significantly in people and software and it is now paying off.
This award would not be possible without our clients, our suppliers, business partners and the rest of our back room office staff but most importantly we wouldn’t have achieved this without the excellent efforts and hard work of the Outbox4 management team of Kelly Munro, Joanna Hanley, Lyianne Carson, Gordon Brown and Lee Young. Outbox4 is a great business to have as part of my portfolio of business interests as they provide such high quality work in design, website creation, search engine optimisation and social media management. No matter what presentation I do where ever I am, people always ask who put our design and graphics together.
I started Outbox4 a few years ago because I saw a gap in the market for a company that could provide a one stop shop for design at reasonable prices for the business community in Ayrshire. We soon found that by changing the business model and being able to provide businesses with a monthly payment model was what they wanted, helped their cash flow whilst still allowing them to retain a first class design house. Doing business is about everyone getting what they want out of the deal and our monthly management model worked for everyone, no matter how big or small they were.
I am also glad to report that we have several key joint ventures with other businesses that are looking very promising and our customer base is growing to include bigger, Scotland wide and international customers which is very encouraging for an Ayrshire based business.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Willie Mackie, Chairman of the Ayrshire Chamber and Val Russell, CEO of the Ayrshire Chamber for all their encouragement and support. In my experience, these two individuals tirelessly give of their time and expertise to the Ayrshire business community, Ayrshire punches way above its weight in terms of getting its share of success and local businesses like Outbox4 continues to fly the flag on behalf of all the people of Ayrshire bringing work and creating new jobs even through these trying of economic times. Thanks also goes to GSK for their sponsorship of the award and as a major local employer over the past 20+ years, have done more for Ayrshire than many a corporate who have come and gone. It’s good to have a world class company on our doorstep with a management team clearly committed to local business and the local community.”
