Why Should i Use WordPress?

Most of us have heard of WordPress but for those who haven’t here’s the jist:

WordPress: The world’s most popular, flexible blogging platform. That’s it.

And I truly mean that’s it. It’s what you do with it that can make it into the most in-depth, feature rich Content Management System out there. WordPress is designed to be so user friendly that anyone who has never dabbled in creating blogs can do so with ease. A lot of hosting providers will provide the ability of installing WordPress using their 5 min install and do it for you with just one click. WordPress has been used to create some beautiful blogs and some content rich websites over the years. There are various plugins that can be installed very easily that will enable some incredible features. If you know what you are looking for out of WordPress then the rewards can be great.

The administration section of WordPress is very basic. This is because it is meant to be. There are sections to upload media, there are sections to create new blog posts and pages. If it was too complicated then WordPress wouldn’t be as popular as it is today.

Blogging is a great way of telling your audience about your business. You can write about products, services, promotions, industry news, pretty much anything that you really want to, but make sure it is relevant to your business. When thinking about what to write, think to yourself “what are my audience looking for?”. When you have your subject matter, start a draft and keep working at it until you have the finished product you want to create. Give your blog a title that is interesting to your audience and something that your audience will search for. This is important as your blog, when published, can be indexed by a search engine and if your blog title matches a search phrase your audience is looking for then you may see some traffic. If the content is interesting and provides incentive to reply then people will. Add a featured image to the blog for those who like to look at pretty pictures. This also helps the reader understand that effort has gone into this blog and may provide some good quality content.

And that is what it is all about, driving traffic to your blog for people to read and interact with the content. So if you are looking to create an online entity such as a blog or a website then WordPress can be the feature rich, easy to use, easy to manage solution you are looking for.
